  • EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER - Dallas, TX

    Be a part of a growing company in the North Dallas area.  You will be a part of a  privately owned endeavor where they have an urgent need for an EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER with a strong background in streaming video and MPEG decoders for video content delivery. 

    Have you worked on set top boxes?  Do you have a strong background and understanding of MPEG decoders, using embedded Linux or Java?  Have you worked with device drivers and kernels?

    Requirements:

    • BSEE or related degree
    • Five or more years of technical experience
    • Five years in the compressed video market, especially for encoders and decoders
    • Experience with h.264, MPEG4  or other compressed video standards
    • Understanding of HDTV
    • Device Driver skills  
    • Related software experience in one of more of the following areas: handsets, defense, medical, RF, set-top box for hospitality, airlines, schools, or related industry

  • DEVICE DRIVER ENGINEER - Dallas, TX

    • Reference board design experience, another plus.

  • DIRECTOR OF MARKETING - Dallas, TX

    My client is a small technology company located in North Dallas, where they are building technologies which have potential to change the world in the compressed video market. They are developing compressed video for the broadcast industry and need a hands-on Director of Marketing who can take the company into new silos with their applications. We need a creative individual who loves variety on a daily basis.  We are looking for a bright, experienced, and highly-motivated individual who can “do it all.” 

    You will help define the corporate image for the world, determine new markets through strategic acumen, and stay in the trenches with the engineers to collect the requirements for new products.  Your expertise in communications will be valuable for writing white papers, making presentations, and producing collateral.  You’ll need to be able to juggle multiple responsibilities and demonstrate a knack for innovation.  We need someone who truly likes a fast pace and wants to affect the bottom line quickly.

    Ideal candidate will have:

    • BSEE or CE,  MBA a plus
    • Minimum of seven years work experience in technical marketing with demonstrated background in understanding hardware or software based Video Processing platforms, preferably with a digital video or compression technology focus
    • Proven track record in the video compression industry: digital cable, broadcast networks, IPTV, video-on-demand, broadcasting, interactive TV, or IP/data networking
    • Ability to forge new paths for a growing company with diplomacy and action orientation.

    • Test Automation scripts for software regression testing

    • Five or more years of software development experience
